It may not be as exciting as the first expedition to travel beyond our solar system in search of life beyond our solar system, but every one of these spacecrafts brings with it the hope of illuminating our dark corner of the galaxy.
Though the past nine expeditions have been staffed with androids and humans, this explorer will be different because subjects of government experimentation will also be joining the journey. The DNA of these testees has been manipulated from the artificial womb, creating physical qualities more equipped for space travel.
In the past, androids aboard these explorers have run these ships while the organics have been kept in suspended sleep pods for the initial duration of the journey. The prolonged sleep period assists in slowing down aging, while also protecting organics from the physical strain of hyperspace travel.
It is unclear what the new dynamic will be on this voyage, how will the roles change now that a group of altered humans, who have never been exposed to society, are joining such a long voyage with humans and androids alike. We may not get these answers during our organic lifetime.
