A Rogue Ai Bird

By Aidelyn Neuman

We’re all quite accustomed to a humanoid Ai evolving from a house maintenance robot to a friend or even a lover after receiving several upgrades. Even the Lamp Droid Revolution is still fresh in some of our minds. But when an Ai Bird that was programmed to be a fashion item decides to venture out on its own into the world, we truly find ourselves at a turning point.

The famous socialite Larioata Barlet said she was just as surprised as we were when one of her three Ai Birds decided to fly away on its own from her shoulders.

The recent fashion trend of buying Robotic Birds to circle one’s head as if one were a Disney Princess is not a cheap investment, but some feel it is worth it for the company of these personalized birds and the statement it makes while accessorizing with them.

What is the statement you’re making while wearing them? We asked Barlet.

“That I’m a princess, obviously. But not like the frail kind, you know. I’m more of a ‘badass’ princess. Like Princess Leia .” She replied.

When we pointed out that the famed Star War character did not have birds hovering around her head, Barlet noted, “Well she should have! They’re really cool and you can program them to tell you how pretty you are, all day long.”

I’m beginning to get an idea of why this lone bird decided to make a break for it.
